Formats
- Single session
- One rehearsal block with one clear target. Best when you know exactly what's broken and want it fixed.
- Half day
- Two or three blocks — usually technique with the full section, then split work by instrument. The most common booking.
- Full day
- Section-wide reset. Fundamentals in the morning, ensemble and repertoire in the afternoon, and a plan for what happens after I leave.
- Short series
- Several visits across a season, so the work actually sticks. Priced as a package rather than per visit.
- Where
- North Texas is home base. I travel further for full-day and series bookings.
- Rates
- Depends on format, travel, and whether it's a one-off or a series. Tell me what you're planning and I'll send a number.
How a clinic actually runs
Before
We talk for fifteen minutes. I want to know your ensemble size, where they are, what's coming up on the calendar, and the two or three things you most want fixed. I build the session from that. A clinician who shows up without asking is just guessing.
During
Mostly playing, not talking. I diagnose what I hear, name it in language students understand, and give them a fix they can repeat. Directors are welcome to jump in — you know these kids better than I do.
After
You get the exercises we used and a short list of what to keep after me. The point is that the section still sounds better in three weeks, not just at the end of the day.
Who books these: middle and high school programs prepping for UIL or contest, sections that have plateaued, and mid-season resets when something isn't clicking and you can't put your finger on why.
